Because the given opening in the center console is too small to route the iPhone wiring harness (4) through the opening in the stowage box, the black 18-pin coupling for the iPhone wiring harness (5) has to be disassembled.
The black coupling for the iPhone wiring harness (3) cannot be disassembled.
1 Unclip covering (5.2) for black, 18-pin coupling of iPhone wiring harness (5) from iPhone wiring harness (4), remove and detach iPhone wiring harness (4) from coupling insert (5.1).
Do not damage the individual pins, as otherwise it will be impossible to plug them into the coupling insert (5.1) and a new iPhone wiring harness (4) will have to be installed.
Additionally mark transparent lines with adhesive tape and label according to their contact cavity assignment.
2 Wrap insulation tape around the ends of the lines for the iPhone wiring harness (4).
3 Route iPhone wiring harness (4) with previously detached side through passage from inside.
Do not damage ends of line (arrow A). Use a screwdriver (13) to help pull it through.
4 Route iPhone wiring harness (4), as shown, at center console (11) and fix in place with felt tape.
5 Remove insulation tape from ends of line (arrow A).
6 Plug iPhone wiring harness (4) into plug insert (5.1).

Allocate transparent lines to match the previously made markings.
7 Slide covering (5.2) onto coupling insert (5.1) and clip into place.
8 Insert and position center console (11).
Pay attention to installation position of plugs and couplings at center console (11) so that electrical connections can be made later.
9 Join electrical connection between black, 18-pin iPhone wiring harness plug (6) of iPhone wiring harness (7) and the black, 18- pin iPhone wiring harness coupling (5) for the iPhone wiring harness (4).
10 Wrap felt tape around black, 18-pin iPhone wiring harness coupling (5) of iPhone wiring harness (4) and route under floor covering (12).
11 Route iPhone wiring harness (7) under the glove box, along the existing lines to the iPod interface (9)
12 Connect black, iPhone wiring harness connector (8) to iPod interface (9).
The iPod interface (9) may need to be released and the black connector removed from the iPod kit. The iPod kit is no longer functional once the iPhone kit is installed. The iPod interface (9) is installed on the A-pillar level with the glove box.
13 Attach iPod interface (9) to A-pillar level with glove box and strap down any excess line lengths using cable ties.
14 Remove cover (13) of Bluetooth module (A34/7) and insert iPhone adapter (1) into Bluetooth module (A34/7).
15 Join black, iPhone adapter connector (2) and black iPhone wiring harness coupling (3) for iPhone wiring harness (4) and fasten under the Bluetooth module mounting (A34/7) using felt tape.
