1 Open lid of glove box (22).
2 Make cutout on glove box (22), as shown. Cordless drill/driver

For vehicles without code (518) Media interface. The recess is partially perforated in advance, if this is not the case, make a recess according to the following dimensions:
a = 15 mm
b = 60 mm
c = 5 mm
d = 25 mm

3 Reduce wall thickness for glove box in crosshatched area using square file.
On vehicles without code (518) Media interface. The wall thickness of the glove box has to be reduced such that the catch hooks of the covering for the Universal Media Interface connecting cable can latch into place.






4 Drill hole to dia. 19 mm on glove box (22), as shown. Cordless drill/driver

On vehicles with code (518) Media interface. Drill hole according to the following dimensions:
e = 15 mm
f = 37.5 mm






5 Wrap felt tape around Universal Media Interface connecting cable (2) behind covering (2.3).
6 Route Universal Media Interface connecting cable (2) from inside through the opening in the glove box (22) and clip in covering (2.3) of Universal Media Interface connecting cable (2) from inside into glove box (22).
In vehicles without code (518) Media interface. Make sure that the catch hooks (2.4) are latched into place.






7 Wrap felt tape around Universal Media Interface connecting cable (26) starting behind the grommet (26.1).
8 Route Universal Media Interface connecting cable (26) from inside through the hole in the glove box (22) and insert grommet (26.1) of Universal Media Interface connecting cable (26) from inside into glove box (22).
On vehicles with code (518) Media Interface. The blue 4-pin connecting cable coupling (26.2) is located after installation of the Universal Media Interface connecting cable (26) outside the glove box (22).






9 Use felt tape (23) to fasten Universal Media Interface connecting cable (2) onto glove box (22).
