GF40.15-P-0001-08CE Tire pressure monitor (TPM [RDK]) messages
- with CODE (470) Tire pressure monitor (base)

The tire pressure monitor (TPM [RDK]) system messages are shown in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1). A distinction is made between the following:
- Menu displays and
- Warning messages

The menu displays can be called up in the instrument cluster using the tire pressure monitor menu.

The warning messages appear automatically.

Depending on the warning message the tire pressure monitor warning lamp (A1e66) is also actuated.

Menu display 1:

Menu display 1
The TPM [RDK] system is not available until circuit 15 ON.

Menu display 2:

Menu display 2
The TPM [RDK] system is nonfunctional. Possible causes are:
- IC does not receive any valid signals from tire pressure monitor control unit (N88)
- Tire pressure monitor control unit nonfunctional:
- Shutoff because of malfunction
- Failure of left front tire pressure sensor (A69/1), right front tire pressure sensor (A69/2), left rear tire pressure sensor (A69/3) or right rear tire pressure sensor (A69/4) because of excess temperature

Menu display 3:

Menu display 3
TPM [RDK] system in diagnosis mode.

Menu display 4:

Menu display 4
Normal status of TPM [RDK] system

Menu display 5:

Menu display 5
TPM [RDK] system unable to receive signals from tire pressure sensors. Possible cause is:
- one or more wheels fitted without tire pressure sensor

Menu display 6:

Menu display 6
Display before manual reactivation.

Warning message 1:

Warning message 1
The TPM [RDK] system is nonfunctional. Possible causes are:
- IC does not receive any valid interior CAN (CAN B) signals from tire pressure monitor control unit
- Tire pressure monitor control unit nonfunctional:
- Shutoff because of malfunction

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp flashes on and off for t = 60 s and then stays on permanently.

Warning message 2:

Warning message 2
Major loss of pressure detected in a tire.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp is permanently actuated and then an acoustic notification is emitted.

Warning message 3:

Warning message 3
Rapid loss of pressure in a tire.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp is permanently actuated and then an acoustic notification is emitted.

Warning message 4:

Warning message 4
The tire pressure monitor control unit is unable to receive signals from the tire pressure sensors. Possible cause is:
- one or more wheels fitted without tire pressure sensor.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp flashes on and off for t = 60 s and then stays on permanently.

Warning message 5:

Warning message 5
The TPM [RDK] system is temporarily inactive because of transmission interference or because the voltage is too high/low.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp flashes on and off for t = 60 s and then stays on permanently.

Warning message 6:

Warning message 6
Operation feedback after manual reactivation.

Warning message 7:
