Functions in the case of ignition ON:
^ The fuel injection and ignition system (in the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) is supplied with voltage via the engine circuit 87 relay (N10/1kN).
^ The fuel pump (M3) is actuated to protect against cylinder flooding (only for first "Ignition ON")
^ The engine diagnosis indicator lamp (A1e58) lights up for a lamp check in the instrument cluster (A1).
^ Data exchange with the electronic ignition lock control unit (N73) (circuit 50 signal and drive authorization system) takes place via the chassis CAN (CAN E).
^ The fault memory can be read out and erased via the diagnostic connector (X11/4).
^ A correction programming or a diagnosis can be undertaken using the DAS via the diagnostic connector.
^ The throttle valve actuator (M16/6) checks its return spring (via the position of the throttle valve) and performs a position adaptation if necessary.
^ The tumble flap switchover is actuated and a check performed that the end positions of the tumble flaps have been reached.
