After a cold start the fuel-air mixture is enriched for a short time to ensure that the engine runs smoothly.
Post-start enrichment compensates for the fuel which precipitates on cold engine parts.

The post-start enrichment is dependent on:
^ Coolant temperature at start
^ Combustion cycles after start
^ Selector lever position (with automatic transmission 722.9)
^ Correction programming using the DAS
