The safety fuel shutoff is activated:
^ In the event of a mechanical fault in the throttle valve actuator (M16/6)
->By switching off the fuel injectors (Y62), the engine speed is limited to approx. 1400 rpm in idle and to approx. 1800 rpm in driving mode.

^ If the engine speed signal "TNA" is missing
->The ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) switches off the fuel pump (M3) via the fuel pump control unit (N118).

^ When receiving a crash signal from the supplemental restraint system control unit (N2/10)
->The ME-SFI [ME] control unit switches off the fuel pump via the fuel pump control unit and actuates the injection valves in order to make the fuel system unpressurized.
