GF07.61-P-3022CY ME-SFI Warm-Up Control, Function

GF07.61-P-3022CY ME-SFI Warm-up Control, Function
- up to model year 08

The fuel-air mixture is further enriched via the warm-up control after start and post-start enrichment. Warm-up control compensates for the fuel which precipitates on cold engine parts.

The additional quantity of fuel is metered to the engine by the ME- SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) in line with the performance map. The injection time is extended accordingly for this purpose.
During warm-up, ignition angles are determined from a particular performance characteristic.

The camshaft positions determine the exhaust gas recirculation rate via the duration of the valve overlap. While hot exhaust gases warm up the combustion chamber, fuel evaporation and enrichment with fuel can be lowered.

Using the coolant thermostat (Y110) the coolant circuit is controlled in such a way that the coolant gets warmed up as quickly as possible.

Warm-up control is dependent on:
^ Coolant temperature
^ Intake air temperature
^ Engine speed
^ Engine load
^ Camshaft positions
^ Correction programming using the DAS

At close to idle operation, the allocated fuel type is mainly dependent on the coolant temperature at start. At partial load, the air mass is decisive.

As soon as lambda regulation is released it monitors the additional fuel quantity.
