GF07.61-P-4015CY ME Engine Torque Requirements Function
- up to model year 08
The torque interface coordinates and prioritizes requests from all system which make an engine torque request. At the same time, the dynamics of the conversion for each requirement are established.
The engine torque is altered by:
^ Increase or reduction of injected volume
^ Advanced or retarding the ignition timing of the ignition angle (to allow very rapid change)
^ Combination from adaptation of the injection quantity and ignition angle
If one increases the injection quantities and at the same adjusts the ignition angle to "retarded", the engine torque initially remains unchanged. One does, however, have the option to rapidly achieve a subsequent engine torque increase through timing advance of the ignition angle (torque reserve).
The following systems can request an engine torque:
^ Driver
^ Transmission control
^ ESP
^ ASR
^ Cruise control or DISTRONIC
^ Limitation of engine speed and max. speed
^ Automatic air conditioning
^ Alternator (G2)
