GF27.19-P-5180ACW Gearshift Solenoid Valve Component Description
GF27.19-P-5180ACW Gearshift solenoid valve component description
- TRANSMISSION 722.618/640/646/695/699
Component Identification:
Location
The gearshift solenoid valves are located on the supporting body of the automatic transmission electric controller unit.
Task
The gearshift solenoid valves introduce the process of upshifts and downshifts in the valve body assembly.
Component Identification:
Design
Shown here, shifting phase
The gearshift solenoid valves are each sealed by 2 O-rings (34, 35) against the valve housing of the gearshift and pressed by leaf springs (2c) against the valve housing of the valve body assembly (2a). The contact springs (32) on the solenoid valves engage in a slot in the conductor tracks (33). The force of the contact springs (32) ensures safe contacts.
Function
If a gearshift solenoid valve is actuated via the electronic transmission-control control unit (N15/3) it opens and directs shift valve pressure to the assigned command valve.
The respective solenoid valve remains actuated and thus opened until the shift operation is concluded. The shift valve pressure to the command valve is reduced to zero, as soon as the respective solenoid valve is switched de-energized.
