1 Check friction surface (1a) of pressure plate (1) for scorch cracks and score marks.
2 Check diaphragm spring (1b) for fractures.
3 Check tongues (arrow) of diaphragm (1b) for wear and even height.
Checking clutch plate:

4 Check friction lining on the drive and output side (2a) of clutch plate (2) for oil fouling, cracks and chippings.
5 Check friction lining thickness.
6 Check splined profile (2b) for wear and chippings.
It must be possible to move the clutch plate (2) on the input shaft of the transmission with a small amount of force.
