The hands-free system control unit (A35/1) is used to control the hands-free system microphone group (A67b1). It converts the analog signals of the hands-free system microphone group (A67b1) into digital signals and passes them via Media Oriented System Transport (MOST). The hands-free system control unit (A35/1) has 4 microphone inputs that connect the radio (A2) or the COMAND operating, display and control unit (A40/3) to the corresponding microphone signals via MOST. The hands-free system microphone group (A67b1) is required for the hands-free functionality used when making a telephone cal.
