Component Identification:

Function prerequisites
^ Removal of transmitter key or
^ Driver's door opened with circuit 15R or
^ Driver door opened and power to circuit 15c, or
^ Opening the driver door when the transmitter key is not inserted,
^ The function is activated in the instrument cluster (A1).

Function abort
^ Adjusting the seat position via the left front seat adjustment switch group (S91/2) or
^ memory request via the left front seat adjustment switch group (S91/2) or
^ adjustment of steering column position via the steering column adjustment switch (S59).

Easy entry/exit steering column adjustment function
In order to make it easier to get into and out of the vehicle, the steering column is moved into the easy entry/exit position. Approaching the easy entry/exit position is triggered by the specified status changes from the transmitter key position and left door contact switch (S17/3).

For this the following information is read out and processed via the front seat adjustment control module with memory and easy entry, driver (N32/1) via CAN class B:
^ The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) transmits the status of the left front door contact switch (S17/3),
^ The electronic ignition switch control module (N73) transmits the circuit status,
^ The instrument cluster (A1) transmits the adjustment parameters,
^ The left door control module (N69/1) transmits the status of the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2).

If all the conditions are met and no abort conditions exist during actuation, via the front seat adjustment control module with memory and easy entry, driver (N32/1) the height adjustment up/down motor (M20m2) is actuated into the uppermost position. If the function prerequisites are no longer given, the steering column is automatically adjusted into the position last adjusted.

The driver seat is also moved into the easy entry/exit position via the easy entry/exit function.
