Lockup recognition
One Hall sensor is located on the fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1) and one is located on the height adjustment up/down motor (M20m2).

Blocking is detected when manual adjustment requests via the steering column adjustment switch (S59) or automatic adjustment requests via the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) do not result in a change in position of the steering column.

Anti-lock device
In the event of blocking of the fore/aft adjustment motor (M20m1) or of the height adjustment up/down motor (M20m2) during an adjustment function triggered via the steering column adjustment switch (S59) or during the adjustment of a stored position, the corresponding motor is switched off after = 2.5 seconds.

Switching on again in the same adjustment direction is only permitted after releasing the steering column adjustment switch (S59) or the left door seat adjustment switch group (memory) (S91/2) for longer than = 2.5 seconds.

A restart in the opposite direction of adjustment is possible right away.
