AN82.61-P-0001-06TX Retrofit MOST Fiber Optic Cable Wiring Harness
- except CODE (386) Preinstallation for telephone "Handy", UPCI system
- except CODE (388) Telephone "Handy", UPCI system

1 Remove the MOST couplings (11) of both MOST wiring harnesses ordered.
2 Remove blue retaining clips (15) from the two MOST carrier elements (13) and (14).
3 Remove fiber optic cable modules (8) and (9) from the two MOST carrier elements (13) and (14).
4 Install first fiber optic cable module (8) into contact cavity 1, input (see arrow), of carrier element (14).

Fiber optic cable module (8) must latch audibly.

5 Install other end of fiber optic cable module (8) in contact cavity 2 (output) of MOST carrier element (13).
6 Install second fiber optic cable module (9) in contact cavity 1 (input, see arrow) of MOST carrier element (13) and with the other end in contact cavity 2 (output) of the MOST carrier element (14).

Ensure that each individual fiber optic cable module (8) and (9) is inserted once into contact cavity 1 (input) and once into contact cavity 2 (output).

7 Install blue retaining clips (15) in MOST carrier elements (13) and (14).
8 One MOST coupling (11) is no longer required.
9 Wrap fiber optic cable modules (8) and (9) together with felt tape (27).

The MOST coupling (11) is connected later, when a CD changer is installed (A2/6), to the wiring harness of the CD changer (A2/6) beneath the radio recess.

10 Fit articulation limiter (20) to fiber optic cable modules (8) and (9).
11 Clip MOST carrier element (13) into black, 6-pin coupling for radio and navigation unit control panel (A2/56).

Risk of breakage: Do not kink fiber optic cable, route over sharp edges or bend in radii smaller than 25 mm. Tensile forces on inserts must not exceed 65 N. Do not squeeze fiber optic cable and do not compress with clamps or cable ties.
