GF80.20-P-4009TX Automatic Locking, Function

Speed-dependent locking

Function requirements
^ Function activated in instrument cluster (A1)

The doors are locked at a speed of approx. 15 km/h and the trunk lid at a speed of approx. 3 km/h.
In this case the EIS control module (N73) transmits the "Locking" command to the controller area network bus class B (interior compartment) (CAN-B).
The door control modules (N69/1, N69/2, N69/3 and N69/4) then actuate the corresponding CL motor (M14/5, M14/6, M14/8 and M14/9) in the "Locking" direction. The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) deactivates the exterior actuation trunk lid switch (S88/8).

The vehicle can be unlocked by opening the driver/passenger door from inside or by actuating the interior central locking switch and ATA function display (N72/1s6).
If the vehicle is unlocked with the interior central locking and ATA function display switch (N72/1s6) after locking, the vehicle also remains unlocked at speeds above the threshold.
If a door is opened and then closed again following automatic locking, when the vehicle speed is greater than the speed threshold, the door in question is locked again after it is closed.

Relocking
The "Relocking" function is actuated by the EIS control module, if the vehicle is unlocked and none of the doors or the trunk lid are opened within 40 s. An optical signal is not accomplished with relocking.

The signals from the door contact switches (S17/3, S17/4, S17/5 and S17/6) as well as the locking pawl rotary tumbler switch (S88/4) are transmitted by the rear SAM control module (N10/2) via CAN-B.
