The electric steering lock control unit is located the steering column

General
The electric steering lock control unit processes information from the EIS control unit (N73) and is connected with it via a bi- directional, serial data line
After the unlocking procedure, the power for the locking components is switched off to avoid unintentional locking.

^ If the hash value is incorrect and the unlocking position is not reached or not recognized, an error message is transmitted to the EIS control unit.
^ Position monitoring of locking bolt via 2 Hall sensors
