GF80.61-P-0005TX Keyless Go, Function
GF80.61-P-0005TX Keyless Go, Function
- with CODE (889) Keyless Go
The Keyless Go system (KG) allows access to the vehicle and starting the vehicle engine without using the transmitter key (A8/1). It is sufficient to just carry the key
Unlock
The vehicle can be unlocked by:
^ Pulling any door handle
(global or selective opening).
^ Pulling trunk lid handle
(only trunk lid is opened).
Lock
The vehicle can be locked by:
^ Actuating corresponding door handle switch (S17/19, S17/20, S17/21 or S17/22) on outer door handle.
^ Actuating trunk lid keyless go button (S62/21) on trunk lid
The function of the remote control on the standard central locking (CL) is maintained parallel to the keyless go (KG) functions. On vehicles with code (551) anti-theft alarm system (ATA) the antitheft alarm system (ATA) functions in the same manner as when locking/unlocking the CL with the transmitter key
Start engine and switch off
The engine can be started or switch off by pressing the keyless go start/stop button (S2/3) on the selector lever
The engine can also be started or switched off "normally" with the transmitter key via the EIS control module (N73)
Locating areas of transmitter key
In the following areas the transmitter key is located and checked for validity when the system is activated
Area surrounding vehicle
^ The outer areas (A, B) are covered by antennas integrated in the rear-end door keyless go control module (N69/8) and right rear-end door keyless go control module (N69/9)
^ The outer area (C) is covered by the rear bumper antenna (A2/31).
Passenger compartment
^ The trunk area (D) is covered by the trunk keyless go antenna (A2/35)
^ The vehicle interior (E) is covered by the antenna integrated in the interior module keyless go control module (N103)
^ The outer areas on the opposite side (A, B and C) are also covered.
Sequence of position determination
When the keyless go system (KG) is activated, the transmitter key checks for a message from the antennas and the antennas integrated in the control module in specified sequence.
From these messages (different signal amplitudes) it is possible for the transmitter key to determine its position and transmit it to the rear module keyless go control module (N102) via the left antenna amplifier module (A2/65).
