Component Identification:

1 Unclip electrical connectors (G3/3x1, G3/4x1, G3/5x1, G3/6x1) and electrical lines for O2 sensors from the retaining clamps.
2 Disconnect the electrical connectors (G3/3x1, G3/4x1, G3/5x1, G3/6x1) of the O2 sensors.
3 Detach heat shield (1) and disconnect plug (2) from automatic transmission.

Only on vehicles with automatic transmissions.

Component Identification:

4 Detach heat shield (3).
5 Fold up protective cap (4) in the direction of the arrow and remove the circuit 30 connection (5) for the starter.
6 Detach ground line (6) from transmission.

7 Separate electrical connector (12).

Component Identification:

8 Detach ground line (7) from longitudinal member.
9.1 Disconnect electrical connectors (8, 9).

Except models 211.057/257, 219.357

9.2 Separate electrical connector (11).

Only for model 211.057/257, 219.357

10 Release plug (10) and disconnect from the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10).
11 Loosen engine wiring harness and place to one side.
