Function
The exterior lamp switch is switched to "Low beam" position and signals the request "Low beam On" to the driver-side SAM control unit.
The driver-side SAM control unit actuates the left low beam of the left front lamp unit (E1) and simultaneously sends the signal "Low beam On" to the passenger-side SAM control unit over CAN-B.
The passenger-side SAM control unit actuates the right low beam in the right front lamp unit (E2).
The standing lamp continues to be actuated with the low beam switched on. Actuation of the instrument cluster with the signal "Low beam On" triggers an audible warning signal when the transmitter key (A8/1) is removed and driver door is open.
