Manual of steering column
The steering column can be adjusted electrically fore/aft and up/down by pressing the steering column adjustment switch. The corresponding adjustment request is transmitted to the front seat adjustment control unit by the steering column adjustment switch on the steering column module via CAN-B.

The front seat adjustment control unit actuates the motors accordingly.

Adjustment memory
The steering column can be adjusted into a stored position via the corresponding button in the memory switch.

At the same time as this the outside mirrors and driver seat assume the corresponding position.

The corresponding adjustment request is transmitted to the front seat adjustment control unit by the seat adjustment switch group via the left front door control unit.

The front seat adjustment control unit actuates the motors up to the stored position for the duration of actuation of the memory switch.

Releasing the memory switch leads to the immediate termination of the adjustment.
