Location
The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) is located at the side wall behind the left inner wheel well

Task
The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) performs the following tasks:
^ Reception of analog and terrestrial digital television (TV) signals
^ Forwarding of video and audio signals to the COMAND operating, display and controller unit (A40/3) and the audio gateway control unit (N93/1) (up to model year 09).

As of model year 09 the audio gateway control unit is omitted.

Function
The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) receives and processes analog and digital television programs and communicates with the COMAND operating, display and controller unit, the audio gateway control unit (up to model year 09) and the other system components via the built-in Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) ring interface.

The TV combination tuner (analog/digital) supports all channel lists and audio standards worldwide.
