Manual data acceptance
The Bluetooth handset only has to be replaced if it is faulty.
1 Remove label with serial number from new telecommunications control unit and paste into the owner's manual "W@P Fixed telephone system" (remove old label or paste over it).
2 Replace old telecommunications control unit with a new telecommunications control unit.
3 Remove SIM card in card reader of handset mounting.
4 Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and then on the DAS system go to the "Telephone control unit" menu and select the "Initial startup" menu. Following this, select the "Initial startup with manual configuration of new control unit" menu.
5 Perform coding of new telecommunications control unit as per DAS instructions (e.g. vehicle ident.no. (VIN), model series, etc.).
6 Press SOS switch in overhead control panel control unit until it briefly flashes on and off.
The telecommunications control unit exits the production mode.
7 Use the DAS system to generate a fax template for the control unit replacement form. This fax template must include the
- customer data (if available),
- dealer data and then be printed out. Finally, the form must be sent by fax or by e-mail to CAC.

8 After sending the fax or e-mail, the workshop foreman will call CAC and then together with CAC go through the data on the fax or e-mail checking it for completeness and correctness. After this CAC will provide the workshop foreman with some feedback.

9 Perform manual authorization of vehicle:
To do so press "SERV" on the COMAND operating, display and control unit, the softkey "System", softkey "Services", softkey "Emergency call", softkey "Update" and then the OK button.
Important: Before commencing the authorization process, the SIM card must be removed from the card reader of the handset mounting. GSM radio reception must be given. If authorization fails, the workshop foreman will call CAC (Tel. No.: 0031433562312) to check all the vehicle data again along with the configuration parameters.
10 Workshop foreman calls the TMT (T-Mobile Traffic) and notifies a test emergency call.

11 Perform test emergency call in the vehicle.
GSM radio reception must be given. If the test emergency call is unsuccessful, the workshop foreman will call CAC to check the emergency numbers (Tel.No. 0031433562312).
12 Connect telecommunications control unit and Bluetooth handset.

13 Perform telephone test:
a) Insert SIM card into card reader.
b) Start call from operating, display and control unit COMMAND (handsfree).
c) Take handset out of mounting (private mode).
14 Read out CP diagnosis fault code, if necessary rectify and clear faults.
15 Handover vehicle to customer.
16 Return old telecommunications control unit (CP-High incl. TeleAid SIM or Bluetooth handset) to QEC (findings) Abladestelle 042.
