Draining

DANGER:
- Risk of explosion if ignition takes place, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling fuel vapors or swallowing fuel, as well as risk of injury to skin and eyes exposed to fuel.
- No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.
- Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.
- Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.
- Risk of accident. Accidents may result if the vehicle starts off unintentionally with the engine running. Risk of injury as working around the engine during start-up or while running may result in contusions and burns
- Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving.
- Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
- Do not grasp hot or rotating parts.


1 Remove engine trim panel
2 Unscrew cap (1).
3 Screw pressure hose (3) onto service valve (2)
- Pressure hose: See Special Tools below.

4 Start engine

CAUTION: Use safety tank (4) for collecting the fuel

NOTE: The fuel tank is emptied when fuel is delivered in too great a quantity.

5 Install in the reverse order

6 Pump fuel out of the safety tank (4) through filler hole in the fuel tank

NOTE: In order to avoid electrostatic charging: Ground extraction pump.

CAUTION: Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions and notes.

7 Close cap of fuel tank
8 Disconnect ground clamp of extraction pump
