Wiper Arm Test And Adjustment Values:

The wiper system may only be adjusted if the test values of wiper arms deviate from the tolerance range in parked position

The specified adjustment values are only valid for left-hand drive vehicles. For right-hand drive vehicles, the corresponding sign has to be changed.

1 Install choke angle gauge (A) to driver-side wiper arm (1).
2 Open hood.

3 Loosen rubber seal (2) in the left area.
4 Loosen wiring harness bracket (3) from the partition wall (4) and put wiring harness down on one side.
5 Remove spreading clip (5).

6 Insert mounting wedge (6) between water collector (7) and partition wall (4).
7 Loosen bolt (8).
8 Attach pulling hook (9) at wiper system bracket and move it horizontally until the correct adjustment value is shown on the dial of the choke angle gauge (A).
9 Tighten bolt (8).
10 Remove mounting wedge (6) and pulling hook (9).

11 Install spreader clip (5).

Replace damaged spreader clip (5).

12 Fasten wiring harness bracket (3) and rubber seal (2) at partition wall (4).

Ensure that the sealing rings (2) are correctly seated.

13 Close hood.
14 Remove choke angle gauge (A) from driver-side wiper arm (1).
