AH83.30-P-0007-01A Note on Flushing the Refrigerant Circuit

AH83.30-P-0007-01A Note on Flushing the Refrigerant Circuit
Flushing must be performed in the event of blocked refrigerant compressor as well as with gray or black refrigerant oil.
In general, flushing is performed opposite to the normal flow direction of the refrigerant, meaning from the LP refrigerant compressor connection - evaporator - accumulator - condenser to the HP refrigerant compressor connection.
Flushing is performed starting from the installation location of the refrigerant compressor except if components of the refrigerant circuit are flushed individually.
Always use the adapters from the special tools kit adapter 221 589 00 91 00 at the connections of the refrigerant circuit as described in the repair instructions.
First install the adapter and then the hoses.
In general, the refrigerant compressor, the expansion valve and the drier or accumulator must be replaced.
On vehicles with rear air conditioning systems, the rear air conditioning refrigerant shutoff valve must also be replaced.
Replace refrigerant lines in accordance with the repair instructions.
Vehicles with additional components through which refrigerant flows must be replaced if this is described in the repair instructions, e.g. the high-voltage battery cooling system shutoff valve.
