Removal and installation tool 140 589 08 43 00
Extraction and insertion tool 220 589 06 43 00

Press out angular contact ball bearing

Component Identification:

1 Detach retaining ring from wheel carrier (2).
2 Position wheel carrier (2), drift (01), pressure plate (03) and extraction/insertion sleeve (02) from extraction and insertion tool 140 589 08 43 00 on workshop press.

Use suitable horizontal base for support during pressing procedure.

3 Press out wheel bearing (1) by operating workshop press.

Press in angular contact ball bearing

Component Identification:

4 Position wheel bearing (1), wheel carrier (2), drift (01), extraction/insertion sleeve (02) from extraction and insertion tool 140 589 08 43 00 and sleeve (04) from press out/in tool 220 589 06 43 00 on workshop press.

Use suitable horizontal base for support during pressing procedure.

5 Press wheel bearing (1) all the way into wheel carrier (2) by operating workshop press.

The wheel bearing (1) is seated correctly when the pressure indicated on the display of the workshop press increases at a constant rate.

6 Fit retaining ring in wheel carrier (2).
