GF40.15-P-0001-08LE Tire Pressure Monitor (TPM (RDK)) Messages

GF40.15-P-0001-08LE Tire pressure monitor (TPM [RDK]) messages
- with CODE (494) USA version
- with CODE (475) Tire pressure monitor (Premium)

The messages from the tire pressure monitor (TPM) system are displayed in the multifunction display (A1p13) of the instrument cluster (A1).

A distinction is made between the following:
- Menu displays and
- Warning messages

The menu displays can be called up in the instrument cluster using the tire pressure monitor menu. The warning messages appear automatically. Depending on the warning message the tire pressure monitor warning lamp (A1e66) is also actuated.

Menu display 1
The TPM [RDK] system is not available until circuit 15 ON.

Menu display 2
The TPM [RDK] system is nonfunctional. Possible causes are:
- The instrument cluster does not receive any valid signals from the TPM [RDK] control unit (N88)
- TPM [RDK] control unit nonfunctional:
- Shutoff because of malfunction
- Failure of left front TPM wheel sensor (A69/1), right front TPM wheel sensor (A69/2), left rear TPM wheel sensor (A69/3) or right rear TPM wheel sensor (A69/4) on account of over temperature
- System shutoff due to fault (diagnosis fault entry)
- Temporary fault due to over voltage/under voltage

Menu display 3
Waiting for pressure signals

No current pressure values are available yet from the wheel sensors after the ignition start.
- New wheels have been detected, no position identification is known

Manual restart is possible.

Menu display 4
All wheel sensors are missing. Possible cause:
- TPM does not receive any signals from the wheel sensors (wheels without wheel sensors may be fitted)

Warning message 1
The TPM [RDK] system is nonfunctional. Possible causes are:
- The instrument cluster does not receive any valid CAN signals from the TPM [RDK] control unit
- TPM [RDK] control unit nonfunctional:
- Shutoff because of malfunction

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp flashes on and off for t = 60 s and then stays on permanently.

Warning message 2
In the preceding ignition sequence the tire pressure monitoring system has detected a slight pressure loss of p = 0.25 bar.

The tire air pressure correction due is referred to after terminal 15 Off.

The warning is displayed without the position being specified.

Warning message 3
The TPM system has detected a tire pressure loss (greater than 20 %) and has identified the corresponding wheel.

Warning message 4
Significant pressure loss (greater than 20 %) detected in one or more tires. Wheel position not identified.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp is permanently actuated and then an acoustic notification is emitted.

Warning message 5
Rapid pressure loss (greater than 0.2 bar/min) detected at one or more tires. Wheel position identified.

Warning message 6
Rapid pressure loss (greater than 0.2 bar/min) detected at one or more tires. Wheel position not assigned.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp is permanently actuated and then an acoustic notification is emitted.

Warning message 7
The tire pressure monitoring system has detected filling of the tire, but the new tire air pressure values are implausible. The previous warning thresholds are retained.

The message is displayed until a pressure correction or manual reactivation takes place.

Warning message 8
The TPM [RDK] control unit does not receive any signals from the wheel sensors.
- Possible cause: Wheels without wheel sensors fitted.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp flashes on and off for t = 60 s and then stays on permanently.

Warning message 9
The TPM [RDK] system is temporarily inactive because of transmission interference or because the voltage is too high/low.

The tire pressure monitor warning lamp flashes on and off for t = 60 s and then stays on permanently.

Warning message 10
The tire pressure monitoring system does not detect all the tire pressure sensors. Possible causes:
- Spare tire fitted without wheel sensor
- Wheel sensor defective
- Wheel sensor battery empty
- Excess temperature

Warning message 11
Operation feedback after manual restart.

Warning message 12
Prompt to correct pressure in the event of slight pressure loss or implausible filling.
