Complaint:

Creaking noise from CAK module in head restraint.





Attachments

Cause:

The plastic housings of the 6 pins in the CAK module are too large. This tolerance results in noises.

Further damage code: 91N31

Remedy:

In the case of vehicles produced since calendar week 41/2006, the shafts of the head restraint are oval in shape. This measure has been implemented in series production.

Procedure in the case of complaints:

Replace head restraint. Do not replace guide sleeves.
