Venting Noises from Dynamic Seat Backrest
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of venting noises from the seat backrest when the dynamic seat function is active, this may be caused by the filter element in the air outlet of the valve units in the dynamic seat system modules (Figure 1, arrow).
To resolve, perform the following.
1. Remove dynamic seat control unit as per WIS document AR91.25-P-1900SX.
2. Cut a piece of felt strip 120 mm in length. Attach or glue felt strip to the right side of the existing felt strips (Figure 2). Ensure there is an overlap of 5 mm (Figure 3).
3. Cut a piece of felt strip 95 mm in length. Attach or glue felt strip to the top of the existing felt strips. Ensure there is an overlap of 5 mm (Figure 4).
4. Cut a piece of felt strip 120 mm in length. Attach or glue felt strip to the left of the existing felt strips. Ensure the signal plugs for the valves are covered (Figure 5).
5. Reinstall dynamic seat control unit and seat back as per WIS document AR91.25-P-1900SX.
