Location
The rear window antenna (AM) is located in the upper area of the rear window and consists of 3 longitudinal wires connected to each other.

The wires of the heated rear window are not used as antennas.

Task
The rear window antenna (AM) has the following tasks:
^ Receiving and forwarding AM radio signals

Receiving and forwarding AM radio signals
The AM radio signals are received and forwarded via a direct line to the rear window antenna amplifier module (A2/12).
The rear window antenna (AM) ensures the reception of AM signals when the Vario roof is closed.
When operating (opening/closing) the Vario roof, unfavorable conditions may result in reception interferences. In this instance, the AM radio reception is temporarily automatically interrupted.
