The passenger-side SAM control unit is located in the control unit box in the engine compartment on the driver's side.

- Windshield washer system fluid level indicator switch (S42)
- Left ATA engine hood switch (S62)
- Right ATA engine hood switch (S62/1)
- Glove box switch, ATA (S62/7)

Interior CAN
The passenger-side SAM control unit reads in function-relevant information via the interior CAN.

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors are evaluated by the microprocessor and the corresponding components are actuated.

Control of systems
The passenger-side SAM control unit controls the following systems:
- Headlamp cleaning system (SRA)
- Footwell interior illumination
- Right front exterior lights
- Washer nozzle and washer fluid hose heater (with code (875) Heated windshield washer system)
- Fanfare horns
