GF07.04-P-6082MOR Component Description For Pressure Sensor Downstream Of Throttle Valve
- refinement package
- as of model year 09
Component Identification:
Location
The pressure sensor downstream of the throttle valve is located above on the intake manifold.
Task
The pressure sensor downstream of the throttle valve detects the charge air pressure downstream of the throttle valve (intake manifold air pressure).
Component Identification:
Function
The charge air pressure deforms a membrane which operates on a potentiometer. This alters the resistance value of the potentiometer and influences the signal voltage which serves the ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) as information about the charge air pressure downstream of the throttle valve.
The ME-SFI [ME] control unit uses the charge air pressure and the charge air temperature downstream of the throttle valve to calculate the air mass.
