Mirror glass adjustment of left/right outside mirror, function, general
The outside mirror adjustment up/down, in/out rocker switch (S50/1s1) in the driver door, both outside mirror glasses can be adjusted electrically.

The mirror glass adjustment of the left/right outside mirror comprises the following subfunctions:
^ Adjust mirror glass function sequence
^ Function sequence for storing/calling mirror glass positions
(with code (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirror))

Adjust mirror glass function sequence
The left electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/1) and right electrically adjustable and heated outside mirror (M21/2) can be adjusted manually with the outside mirror adjustment switch with/without mirror fold-in/out feature (S50/1).

The corresponding outside mirror is selected via the left outside mirror adjustment selection switch (S50/1s6) or right mirror adjustment selection switch (S50/1s7).
The selected outside mirror is displayed by an LED in the corresponding outside mirror adjustment selection switch.
The selected outside mirror can be adjusted to the desired position via the outside mirror adjustment toggle switch. The position can be adjusted horizontally and vertically.
The adjustment request is transmitted by the upper control panel control unit (N72/2) to the left door control unit (N69/1) and right door control unit (N69/2) via interior CAN.

The left door control unit actuates the:
^ Mirror up/down adjustment motor (M21/1m1) and the
^ Mirror in/out adjustment motor (M21/1m2).

The right door control unit actuates:
^ Mirror up/down adjustment motor (M21/2m1) and the
^ Mirror in/out adjustment motor (M21/2m2).

Store/retrieve mirror glass position function sequence
The store/retrieve mirror glass position subfunction comprises the following subfunctions:
^ Store mirror glass position function sequence
^ Retrieve mirror glass position function sequence

Store mirror glass position function sequence
The mirror glass position adjusted, can be stored using the left seat adjustment switch group (S22):
- Actuate memory switch (S22s6) for t ≥ 40 ms and release
- Actuate one of the memory location switches 1,2,3 (S22s7) within t < 3 s

The request is read in by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory (N32/1) and transmitted to the left door control unit and right door control unit via interior CAN.

The left door control unit and right door control unit then store the current mirror positions using the values from the following components:
- Mirror up/down adjustment potentiometer (M21/1r2)
- Mirror in/out adjustment potentiometer (M21/1r3)
- Mirror up/down adjustment potentiometer (M21/2r2)
- Mirror in/out adjustment potentiometer (M21/2r3)

Retrieve mirror glass position function sequence
A stored mirror position can be called up with the memory location switches 1,2,3.
For this purpose, actuate one of the memory location switches 1, 2, 3 until the stored position is reached.
The request is read in by the driver-side front seat adjustment control unit with memory and transmitted to the left door control unit and right door control unit via interior CAN.

They actuate the corresponding mirror adjustment motors.

A blockage detection is carried out with the help of the position detection. The adjustment is terminated immediately if a blockage is detected.
