Component Identification:

Location
One xenon headlamp supply module each is located on the underside of the left front lamp unit and on the underside of the right front lamp unit.

Task
The corresponding xenon headlamp supply module controls the power supply of the xenon headlamp ignition module (E1n2) on the left front lamp unit or the xenon headlamp ignition module (E2n2) on the right front lamp unit. After the low beam function has been activated, the xenon bulbs are ignited via a high-voltage surge.

If an electric arc of sufficient stability is detected, the xenon headlamp supply modules switch over to the output-limiting operation.

The xenon headlamp supply modules are actuated by the driver side SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/1).
