Location
The rpm sensors 2 and 3 are permanently connected with the supporting body of the electric controller unit via contact blades.

Task
Together with the wheel and engine speeds the signals of rpm sensors 2 and 3 as well as additional information are acquired in the ETC control unit (N15/3) and are input signals for the electronic transmission control.

Function
By a leaf spring which is supported at the valve housing of the valve body assembly, rpm sensors 2 and 3 are pressed against the transmission housing. This ensures defined distances between the rpm sensors 2 and 3 and the associated pulse rings.

Speed sensor 2 records the speed of the front sun gear via the external plate carrier of the multidisk clutch K1 Rpm sensor 3 records the speed of the front planet carrier via the internal plate carrier of the multidisk clutch K1.
