Function sequence for call signal with comfort telephony and with code (810) Sound system
The mobile phone receives a call signal in the following way:
^ Multifunction antenna (A28/11) and discrete line, with code (386) Mobile phone
^ Multifunction antenna, discrete line and frequency switchover control unit (N96) (with code (359) TELE AID emergency call system) with code (389) Mobile phone preinstallation with universal interface, USA/Canada (model 204.0)
^ Cradle
Information about the caller is displayed on the mobile phone's screen. The display on the mobile phone's screen is forwarded internally.
At the same time, the call signal is forwarded to the "master control unit" in the following way:
^ Cradle
^ Bluetooth antenna (integrated into the Bluetooth contact plate of the cradle)
^ Bluetooth antenna (A2/91)
^ Discrete line
The "master control unit" transmits the call tone via the Media Oriented System Transport (MOST) to the sound system amplifier control unit (N40/3). From there, the call tone is transmitted via discrete lines to the following speakers:
^ Left front door speaker (H4/1)
^ Right front door speaker (H4/2)
^ Left rear door speaker (H4/3)
^ Right rear door speaker (H4/4)
^ Center instrument panel speaker (H4/27)
^ Bass speaker (H4/29)
^ Left rear surround speaker (H4/54)
^ Right rear surround speaker (H4/57)
At the same time, the "master control unit" mutes the currently active audio source (e.g. in radio mode) (MUTE). This takes place internally in the "master control unit".
The caller ID is displayed on the Audio/COMAND display (A40/8) by the "master control unit" via a low voltage differential signaling (LVDS) line.
In addition, the caller ID is displayed in the instrument cluster (A1) (except Entry-Line) via the interior CAN.
In vehicles except code (810) Sound system, the call tone is output directly from the "master control unit" via discrete lines to the following speakers:
^ Left front door speaker
^ Right front door speaker
^ Left rear door speaker
^ Right rear door speaker
^ Center instrument panel speaker
With basic telephony, the mobile phone receives the call signal via the mobile phone antenna. The call signal is then forwarded to the "master control unit" in the following way:
^ Mobile phone antenna
^ Bluetooth antenna
^ Discrete line
