GF91.30-P-2006TX Stop Ventilation Mode Function
- with CODE (401) Front luxury seat, including heated seat and seat ventilation
Function
Switch off with switch (explanation at driver-side seat ventilation)
The seat ventilation can be switched off by pressing the left front seat ventilation switch (N72/1s13). Pressing the left front seat ventilation switch (N72/1s13) is read in by the upper control panel control unit (N72/1) and relayed to the HS [SIH] and seat ventilation control unit (N25/7) via the interior CAN. The HS [SIH] and seat ventilation control unit switches off the left front seat cushion ventilation motor group (M18/9) and the left front seat backrest ventilation motor group (M18/10) by dropping the control voltage to the left front seat ventilation blower regulator (N29/5) to less than 1 Volt.
At the same time the function LED's go off.
The operation and function indicators of the seat ventilation are summarized in the table below.
Switching off the seat ventilation (stop conditions)
All stop conditions are monitored by the HS [SIH] and seat ventilation control unit. If one of the following three criteria occurs, the seat ventilation is switched off. The criteria are listed in descending priority order. If the seat ventilation has already been switched off because of a criterion with low priority and a switch-off criterion with higher priority now occurs, the procedure is the one described for the criterion with higher priority.
^ Switch off after ignition (circuit 15R) "OFF"
The heated seats also switch off when the ignition is switched off. However, the timer control continues running for 5 more minutes for as long as circuit 15C is "ON". If the ignition is now switched on again, the heated seats are also switched on again in accordance with the timer control setting.
^ Switching off in the event of undervoltage
The undervoltage shut-off for all control units and consumers is globally monitored by the battery control unit (N82). If the HS [SIH] and seat ventilation control unit receives the emergency running message from the battery control unit, the heated seats (load only) are shut off. The same also applies when the undervoltage shut-off threshold is reached.
If undervoltage is detected, the LEDs in the upper control panel control unit flash at a
frequency of 1.5 Hz and an illumination time of 50%. The timer control continues to run if the heated seats are switched off due to undervoltage.
^ Switching off in the event of overvoltage
When the overvoltage threshold is exceeded, the heated seats (load only) are switched off. The timer control continues to run if the heated seats are switched off due to overvoltage.
