Function
The electronic selector lever module control unit sends, when the selector lever is in the "R" position, the "Reverse gear" signal via CAN-C to the central gateway control unit. This forwards the signal via CAN-B to the rear SAM control unit.

The rear SAM control unit actuates the backup lamp in the left taillamp (E3) and the backup lamp in the right taillamp (E4).

In order to avoid brief illumination of the backup lamps on operating the selector lever from position "P" to "D" over position "R", the message of the central gateway control unit is filtered out for 0,5 s. During this time, the backup lamps in the taillamps are not actuated.
