GF80.20-P-2005TX Open HDF Trunk Lid, Function

GF80.20-P-2005TX Open HDF Trunk Lid, Function
- with CODE (881b) Remote trunk closing (RTC)

Component Identification:

Operating elements
^ Transmitter key
^ Trunk lid open/close switch
^ Trunk lid external operation switch

Function requirements:
^ Normalized trunk lid drive unit
^ Vehicle standing still (speed signal 0 km/h)
^ Central locking (CL) unlocked (when trunk lid opening and closing switch or trunk lid exterior actuation switch is actuated)

Function sequence via transmitter key
When the "Trunk lid remote control" button is pressed (once), the remote control key sends a radio signal to the left antenna amplifier module. This signal is transferred to the EIS control unit by the rear SAM control unit.
Parallel to this radio signal, an infrared signal is sent to the left front IR receiver (precise aiming required). This signal is read in by the left front door control unit and transferred to the EIS control unit.
The EIS control module checks the access authorization of the remote control key.

If the access authorization is valid, the EZS control module sends the command "Open trunk lid" to the rear SAM control module. This actuates the trunk lid CL motor to unlock the trunk lid electrically.
When the trunk lid is unlocked (signal from pawl rotary tumbler switch, read in by rear SAM control unit), the TLC control unit actuates the trunk lid drive motor. The trunk lid opening angle detection sensor registers when the trunk lid has reached its end position and this signal is read in by the TLC control unit.
Upon reaching the end position, the TLC control module stops the trunk lid drive motor and the trunk lid remains in the open position. The indicator LED in the trunk lid open/close switch is actuated.
When the trunk lid is open, the locking eye is pivoted to the lower end position by the power closing drive motor. The end position is indicated to the TLC control unit by the power closing "closed" limit switch.

When the "trunk lid remote control" button is pressed again, the trunk lid drive motor is stopped immediately, when the trunk lid remote control button is pressed again, the interrupted operation is continued.

Function sequence with trunk lid open/close switch
When the trunk lid open/close switch on the driver door is pulled once, the signal is read in by the left front door control unit and transferred to the CAN B bus.
The TLC control unit sends the command "Open trunk lid" to the rear SAM control unit. This module actuates the trunk lid CL motor to unlock the trunk lid electrically.
When the trunk lid is unlocked (signal from pawl rotary tumbler switch, read in by rear SAM control unit ), the TLC control unit actuates the trunk lid drive motor.

When the "trunk lid open/close switch" is pulled or pressed again, the trunk lid drive motor is stopped immediately; when pressed again, the interrupted operation is continued.

Function sequence via trunk lid external operation switch
When the trunk lid external operation switch is actuated momentarily, the trunk lid CL motor is actuated by the rear SAM control unit to unlock the trunk lid.

When the "trunk lid external operation switch" is pulled again, the trunk lid drive motor is stopped immediately; when pressed again, the interrupted operation is continued.
