- with CODE (275) Memory package (driver seat, steering column, mirrors)

Function requirements
^ No overvoltage/undervoltage
^ Circuit 15R On or corresponding front door open (up to 31.5.07)

Function
The driver seat and the front passenger seat (with code (242) Electrically adjustable front passenger seat with memory) are electrically adjustable. Adjustment takes place using the switch group in the relevant door trim.

Forward/back adjustment Forward - back
Height adjustment up - down
Seat tilt up - down
Head restraint adjustment up - down
Backrest adjustment Forward - back

The switch group is read in by the front door control unit, which relays the request to the front seat adjustment control unit via CAN-B. The front seat adjustment control unit actuates the seat adjustment motor group directly.

To adjust, hold down switches on seat adjustment switch group until the desired position is reached.

Interruption conditions for the adjustment functions are:
^ Overvoltage and undervoltage
^ Engine start

Priorities
The motors and therefore the adjustment functions are divided into three groups. A maximum of three motors (one motor per group) can be adjusted simultaneously The priorities are defined as shown in the following table.

Function requirements
^ No overvoltage/undervoltage
^ Normalization of longitudinal and head restraint adjustment

The position of the head restraint is preset automatically by the relevant front seat adjustment control unit depending on the longitudinal adjustment position.

The head restraint adjustment function can be switched on and off in the front seat adjustment control unit via STAR DIAGNOSIS.
