Component Identification:

Function requirements
^ Exterior lamp switch is in position "standing lamp" or "low beam" or
^ exterior lamp switch is in position "Auto" and the rain/light sensor signals "darkness"
^ Circuit 15C OFF
^ Driver's door open

Function
The actuation logic for the lights-on reminder function is integrated in the instrument cluster.

The instrument cluster receives the active standing lamp signal from the driver-side SAM control unit and links this information to the signal from the left front door contact switch, the circuit status, and the headlamp switch-off delay function.

The lights-on reminder is not activated with manual or automatic standing or driving lamps, if the headlamp switch-off delay function is active.
