GF07.61-P-3018AMG ME-SFI Safety Fuel Shutoff, Function







The safety fuel shutoff is activated:
- For mechanical faults in the throttle valve actuator
- The engine speed is limited to about 1400 rpm in idle and about 1800 rpm when driving (surging engine running).
- If the engine speed signal "TNA" is missing
- The ME-SFI [ME] control unit switches the fuel pump(s) off.
- When receiving a crash signal (from the restraint systems control unit) accompanied by triggering of airbags
- The ME-SFI [ME] control unit switches off the fuel pump and actuates the fuel injection valves shortly in order to depressurize the fuel system.
