AR01.00-P-2410-02CW Disconnect Engine Wiring Harness
- To remove cylinder head cover and cylinder head








Shown on engine 271.9 in model 171

Perform steps 1 to 8 for removal of cylinder head cover.

1 Disconnect electrical connectors (1, 2) at left intake camshaft

Hall sensor (B6/4) and at left exhaust camshaft Hall sensor (B6/7)

2.1 Engine 271.9: Disconnect electrical connector (3) at coolant temperature sensor (B11/4).
3 Disconnect electrical connector (4) at air pump switchover valve (Y32).
4 Disconnect electrical connector (5) at exhaust camshaft solenoid (Y49/3).
5 Remove ground line (6) from front cover.
6 Engine 271.8: Disconnect electrical connector at boost pressure control pressure transducer (Y31/5).
7 Disconnect electrical connector (7) to connection for clamping device 61 (D), unclip electrical line to mounting clip and pull out upwards.
8 Release the engine wiring harness and remove cylinder head cover.

Installation: Check that engine wiring harness is correctly routed to the cylinder head cover (arrow).





Perform steps 9 to 16 for removal of cylinder head.

9 Engine 271.9: Remove bolt (11a) from intake manifold (12).
10.1 Engine 271.9: Disconnect electrical connectors (14) at fuel injection valve (Y62).
10.2 Engine 271.8: Disconnect electrical connector at rail.
11 Disconnect electrical connector (15) at throttle valve actuator (M16/6)

12 Disconnect electrical connector (16) an intake air temperature sensor (B17).
13 Disconnect electrical connector (17) at pressure sensor (B28).
14 Detach hose (18) for crankcase ventilation system from intake manifold (12).
15 Detach hose (19) for regeneration from intake pipe (12).
16 Remove engine wiring harness (11) from intake manifold (12) and place to one side.
