1 Clamp assembly plate in vise.

Countershaft with dia. 25 mm: use assembly plate 210 589 01 31 00.

Countershaft with dia. 32 mm: use assembly plate 716 589 00 31 00.

2 Remove clutch body (38) with synchronizer ring (37) from drive shaft (41).
3 Insert drive shaft (41) with cylindrical roller bearing (40) into assembly plate.
4 Insert main shaft (27) into drive shaft (41).

Output side must face upwards.





5 Pull 1st gear idler gear (11), reverse gear idler gear (7), synchronizer ring (4) and clutch body (3) off main shaft (27) using two-armed puller and puller arm.





6 Remove 1st gear idler gear (11), thrust plate (10), sleeve (9), needle bearing (8), reverse gear idler gear (7), synchronizer ring (4) and clutch body (3) from main shaft (27).
7 Remove needle bearing (12) of 1st. gear idler gear (11) from main shaft (27).





8 Remove friction ring (13), cone ring (14) and synchronizer ring (15).
9 Remove circlip (16) with pliers.





10 Remove idler gear of 2nd. gear (25), friction ring (24), cone ring (23), synchronizer ring (22) and synchronizer unit of 1st./2nd. gear (51) from main shaft (27) using two-armed puller, and puller arm.
11 Remove needle bearing (26) of 2nd. gear idler gear (25) from main shaft (27).





12 Remove main shaft (27) of drive shaft (41) and clamp in vise with protective jaws.

Drive side must face upwards.

13 Use pliers to remove circlip (39).
14 Detach and remove synchronizer unit of 5th./6th. gear (52) with synchronizer ring (31) and Synchronizer body (30) from main shaft (27) using two-handed puller.
15 Remove idler gear of 6th. gear (29) and needle roller bearing (28).
16 Remove main shaft (27) from the vise.
