1 Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) from InCar Hotspot (1) along existing lines to crossmember under rear seat cushion.
Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) under rear seat backrest. Use a pulling through aid if necessary.
2 Fix cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) in place using cable ties, omega clips and felt tape.
3 Affix velcro strip (13) to rear of cellular telephone system splitter (2).
4 Remove black connector housing (4.1) of cellular telephone system splitter/vehicle antenna line (4) and replace with violet connector housing (4.1) contained in scope of supply.
Only if a black connector housing (4.1) is installed.
5 Remove black coupling housing (7.1) of vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line (7) and replace with violet connector housing (4.1) contained in scope of supply.
Only if a black coupling housing (7.1) is installed.
6 Route cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) as shown to center tunnel and fix in place using felt tape.
7 Fix cellular telephone system splitter (2) in place using previously attached velcro strip on floor covering of center tunnel.
Installation of the center console at rear must not be hindered. Check installation position by inserting the center console at the rear.
8 Disconnect mobile phone electrical connector (X39/37)
9 Connect cellular telephone system splitter/InCar Hotspot antenna line (3) to the cellular telephone system splitter (2).
10 Connect disconnected mobile phone electrical connector (X39/37) to black connector housing (4.1) of cellular telephone system splitter/vehicle antenna line and to black coupling housing (7.1) of vehicle/cellular telephone system splitter antenna line of cellular telephone system splitter (2).
The connectors and couplings are coded and cannot be interchanged.
11 Route power supply wiring harness (6) along existing lines from InCar Hotspot (1) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
12 Fix power supply wiring harness (6) in place using cable ties, omega clips and felt tape.
13 Connect brown line (br) to right rear wheel arch ground point (W7).
The right rear wheel arch ground point (W7) can only be occupied by max. five ground lines, otherwise select right trunk wheel arch ground point (W7/8). Strap down excess length of line.
14 Check whether slot (arrow A) at rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is installed and whether a fuse is inserted.
Slot (arrow A) on rear of the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is marked with "10R". If a fuse is inserted in slot (arrow A) or if slot (arrow A) is not present, perform operation step 15 to 19 at slot (arrow B) accordingly. If neither slot (arrow A) or slot (arrow B) is present, or if these are occupied, continue with operation step 20.
15 Open lock (5.1) of black coupling housing (5).
16 Plug red line (rt) of power supply wiring harness into contact cavity 2 of black coupling housing (5).
Contact cavity 2 of black coupling housing (5) is marked accordingly. If slot "arrow B" was selected in operation step 14, plug in red line (rt) in contact cavity 1 of black coupling housing (5).
17 Close lock (5.1) of black coupling housing (5).
18 Plug black coupling (5) into slot "10R" on rear of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
19 Insert a fuse with a fuse rating of 7.5 A into slot (arrow A) of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
If slot (arrow B) was selected earlier, insert fuse with fuse rating 7.5 A in slot (arrow B).
20 Select any free slot (arrows C, D or E).
Operation steps 21 to 29 are shown at the slot (arrow E) by way of example, but the operation steps can also be performed at the free slots (arrows C or D) accordingly.
21 Remove fuse carrier (10) from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
22 Open lock (10.1) of fuse carrier (10).
23 Disconnect SLK contact (11) of red line (rt) of power supply wiring harness.
24 Crimp an SLK 2.8 contact (12) onto red line (rt) of power supply wiring harness.
25 Open lock (10.3) of fuse carrier (10).
26 Plug red line (rt) of power supply wiring harness into fourth contact cavity (10.2) of fuse carrier (10).
27 Close lock (10.3) of fuse carrier (10).
28 Insert fuse (13) into fuse carrier (10) and close lock (10.1).
The fuse rating is 7,5 A.
29 Attach fuse carrier (10) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module.
30 Check whether a fuse is installed in slot (arrow F) of rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).
If a fuse is inserted in slot (arrow F), perform following operation steps at one of the slots (arrows G, H, K or L) accordingly.
31 Detach yellow fuse carrier (15) from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and open lock (15.1).
32 Open lock (15.3) of yellow fuse carrier (15).
33 Pin black line (sw) of power supply wiring harness into second contact cavity (15.2) of yellow fuse carrier (15).
34 Close lock (15.3) of yellow fuse carrier (15).
35 Insert fuse (16) into yellow fuse carrier (15) and close lock (15.1).
The fuse rating is 7,5 A.
36 Attach yellow fuse carrier (15) to rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module.
