N69/3 Left rear door control unit
N69/4 Right rear door control unit

Location
The rear door control units are located on the corresponding door module behind the door trim.

Task
The rear door control units have the following tasks:
^ Reading in of signals
^ Evaluation of input factors
^ Actuation of components

Reading in of signals
The input factors are read in via the following connections:
^ Direct line
^ Left rear door LIN (LIN B9)
^ Right rear door LIN (LIN B10)
^ Interior CAN (CAN B)

Direct line
The signal from the following component is read in by the left rear door control unit via direct line:
- Left rear power window switch (S21/3)
The signal from the following component is read in by the right rear door control unit via direct line:
- Right rear power window switch (S21/4)

Left rear door LIN
The signal from the following component is read in by the left rear door control unit via the left rear door LIN:
- Left rear door analog/digital converter (N69/16) (transmission of signals for left rear seat heater button (S51/3)) (with code (872) Left and right rear seat heater)
The right rear door control unit supplies the connected control elements with circuit 58d.

Right rear door LIN
The following sensor is read by the right rear door control unit via the right rear door LIN:
- Right rear door analog/digital converter (N69/17) (transmission of signals for right rear seat heater button (S51/4)) (with code (872) Left and right rear seat heater)
The right rear door control unit supplies the connected control elements with circuit 58d.

Interior CAN
The following signals are read in over the interior CAN:
- Requests to adjust the power window of the left front door control unit (N69/1)

Evaluation of input factors
The input factors that have been read in are evaluated by the integrated microprocessor and the affected components are then actuated.

Components are actuated with the following connection:
^ Direct line

Direct line
The following components are actuated by the left rear door control unit via direct lines:
- Left rear door central locking motor (A85/3m1)
- Left rear door additional door lock actuator motor (A85/3m4) (with code (885) Increased theft protection)
- Left rear door exit and warning lamp (E17/5)
- Left rear door handle illumination (E17/13)
- Left rear door ambient illumination (E17/45) (with code (877) Ambiance illumination)
- Left rear door power window motor (M10/5)

The following components are actuated by the right rear door control unit via direct lines:
- Right rear door central locking motor (A85/4m1)
- Right rear door additional door lock actuator motor (A85/4m4) (with code (885) Increased theft protection)
- Right rear door exit and warning lamp (E17/6)
- Right rear door handle illumination (E17/14)
- Right rear door ambient illumination (E17/46) (with code (877) Ambiance illumination)
- Right rear door power window motor (M10/6)
