Powertrain Management: Testing and Inspection



AP00.20-P-0000-13EW Read Out Workshop Code

1 Close engine hood, trunk lid and doors.
2 Turn the key in the ignition lock into position "1".
The standard display (kilometer counter) must appear in the multifunction display (A1p13), if necessary press the scroll forward button repeatedly (S110s1).


Component Identification:






3 Press the system selection button (S110s3) repeatedly until the menu item "trip" with high lighter is stored in the multifunction display (A1p13).
"Trip" remains selected for approx. 5 s. Operation step 3 must be carried out within this time.

4 First press the accept phone call button (S111s3) and keep pressed, then in addition press the OK button within 1 second and keep pressed S110s6.
Keep both buttons (S111s3, S110s6) pressed for approx. 5 s: TheA1p13 workshop menu with the indices "vehicle data", "dynamometer test" and "ASSYST PLUS" appears in the multifunction display.

5 Press the scroll forward button (S110s1) repeatedly until "ASSYST PLUS" is stored with the high lighter and confirm selection with the OK button (S110s6).
The indexes "Service data" and "Full service" (A1p13) appear in the multifunction display.

6 Confirm selection "Service data" with OK button (S110s6).
The workshop code (e.g. 505 and service code (e.g. A) appear in the multifunction display (A1p13)

7 Note the workshop code and service code.
The codes are required for dynamic maintenance (ASSYST PLUS) in the Workshop Information System (WIS).

8 If necessary press the scroll forward button (S110s1) repeatedly and note the remaining time, remaining distance or oil data record (e.g. B 01 1F 00).
9 Press the "Back" button (S110s4) repeatedly until (A1p13) the standard display (kilometer counter) appears in the multifunction display.
10 Turn the key in the ignition lock into position "0".
