GF91.25-P-2026FL Massage Function For Dynamic Multicontour Seat, Function
GF91.25-P-2026FL Massage Function For Dynamic Multicontour Seat, Function
- with CODE (432) Left and right dynamic multicontour seat
Function requirements, general
^ Circuit 15R or circuit 15 ON
^ Pressure supply active
^ No on-board electrical system limp-home mode
^ Status of pneumatic pump for dynamic multicontour seat (M40/1) on interior CAN (CAN B) okay
The massage function is described at the driver seat for left-hand drive vehicles by way of an example, but this also applies for the front passenger seat.
Function description for massage function, general
The massage function is started via the massage function button (S109s1). Activation of the program is indicated by an LED in the massage function button.
The massage function is a convenience function and allows the driver or front passenger to relax, particularly during long trips. The intensity of the "Massage function" program can be adjusted in two stages.
Open circuit
A massage cycle can be terminated and the main valve closed with the following adjustment. After termination of the interruption conditions the massage function is continued with the next cycle:
- Manual lumbar support adjustment
- Manual adjustment for lateral support
- Adjustment request based on memory
Abort conditions
- Overvoltage, undervoltage
- Reference position in left front seat massage function actuator motor (M94) not okay
- Target position in left front seat massage function actuator motor not reached
- Pump overload in combination with activated dynamic function
- Adjustment request after PRE-SAFE
- Channel 1 in driver or passenger dynamic multicontour seat button group short-circuited to ground or stuck
Blocking
When the following fault is active, the function is blocked for the running ignition sequence:
- Reference position in left front seat massage function actuator motor not okay
- Channel 1 of driver or passenger dynamic multicontour seat button group short-circuited to ground or stuck.
The massage function is subdivided as follows:
^ Start and end
^ Program sequence
^ Control of main valve
^ Control of seat massage function actuator motor
^ Compressed-air supply
Start and end
The massage function can be adjusted in two stages and is indicated by two LEDs in the massage function button. The program starts with stage 2 (strong) after the dynamic button is actuated which is indicated by illumination of the two LEDs in the dynamic button. When the dynamic button is actuated again, stage 1 (weak) is actuated; this is indicated by illumination of one LED. A third actuation of the massage function button terminates the "Massage function" program and both LEDs go out. The massage program terminates after expiration of 20 cycles.
Program sequence
Massage program "1 weak (undulating)"
After actuating the massage function button, first the air feed is opened to the left front seat massage function actuator motor by the left front dynamic multicontour seat control unit. Starting with the lower air cushion of the massage insert, the contour of the 1st row changes sequentially by inflating, stopping the pressure and deflating. After a defined waiting time, the cycle for layer 2 is started according to the same pattern.
If the waiting time has elapsed during inflation of layer 7 of the massage insert, the cycle is continued with layer 1. The left front seat massage function actuator motor has a total of 23 valve positions to which are actuated during a massage cycle.
The pressure difference between the deflated and the inflated massage cushion is approx. 100 mbar. A wave motion is created by alternately inflating and deflating the massage cushion.
The program is terminated automatically after approx. 8 min.
Massage program "2 strong (rolling)"
As long as the massage function is active, the contour of the 1st layer of the massage insert is sequentially altered by inflating, maintaining and relieving the pressure. After a defined waiting time, the cycle for layer 2 is started according to the same pattern. If the waiting time has elapsed during inflation of layer 7 of the massage insert, the cycle is continued with layer 6 if the so-called turn period has expired. The layers are then actuated in reverse order down to layer 1. The cycle starts again from the beginning. The program is terminated automatically after approx. 12 min.
The two massage functions can be run at two levels: "weak" and "strong". This results in for massage programs, which can be programmed by development.
Control of main valve
The main valve is actuated by the left front dynamic multicontour seat control unit and is located in the left front seat massage function actuator motor.
Control of seat massage function actuator motor
The left front seat massage function actuator motors actuated by the left front dynamic multicontour seat control unit. The left front seat massage function actuator motor has a total of 23 valve positions to which are actuated during a massage cycle.
The positions are monitored by a reference position (limit switch). Parallel to the control cycle, the individual steps are counted and monitored by the left front dynamic multicontour seat control unit.
Compressed-air supply
The air supply, required for inflating the seat cushions, is supplied by the dynamic multicontour seat pneumatic pump.
