AH00.00-P-0013-01AK Notes On Removing Adhesive Residues And Foils On Paint And Metal Surfaces With Surface Conditioning Disks

When removing the remaining glue, films, trim strips, etc. using rubber disks, the following points must be remembered:
^ Please use safety glasses and hearing protection
^ Use of surface conditioning disk with hand drill
^ Use a speed of 2000 to 2500 rpm to avoid smearing
^ Only apply slight pressure to the surface that is being repaired using the surface conditioning disk and do not work at the same location for too long, as otherwise excessive heat generation could damage the sheet metal or the paint
^ Rotational direction of surface conditioning disk opposite to working direction
^ When using on water-based paints, discoloration can occur in individual cases. In this case, perform preliminary tests at hidden locations.
^ Do not use surface conditioning disks on plastics or painted plastic parts such as bumpers
