1 Remove adhesive strips (17).
2 Detach cable duct (18) with holder (18.1) from opening in trunk lid.
The multifunction antenna antenna line (2) with holder (18.1) is no longer required.

3 Route multifunction antenna antenna line (2) out of trunk lid.






4 Unhook cable duct (18) from holder (arrow A).
5 Detach cable duct (18) with holder from opening (arrow B) in body.
The multifunction antenna antenna line (2) with holder is no longer required.






6 Close soft top compartment (26) by folding forwards.
7 Remove clip (23).
8 Remove variable soft top compartment limit switch (S84/9) and place to one side with attached electrical line.
9 Remove cover (24).
10 Remove clips (27) of cover (25) and detach cover (25) until the multifunction antenna antenna line is accessible.
11 Detach left trunk cover (22) in upper area (arrow C) and pull carefully to one side.






12 Detach holders (28) for multifunction antenna antenna line (2).
The multifunction antenna antenna line (2) is shown here with the trunk covers removed for greater clarity.






13 Slide back foam material wrapping (32) on the vehicle wiring harness (31) and detach violet connector (29.1) or white connector (29.2) from multifunction antenna antenna line (2).
The violet connector (29.1) is installed on:
- code (511) Audio 50 APS incl. DVD changer or
- code (512) COMAND APS with DVD changer or
- code (525) MB Audio 50 APS radio or
- code (527) COMAND APS with single DVD drive (with navigation system)

The white connector (29.2) is installed on:
- code (537) Digital radio

14 Route multifunction antenna antenna line (2) upwards and out of the body opening.
